Teeth Whitening
Why Choose Professional Teeth Whitening?
Professional whitening is a great treatment for most patients with stained or discolored teeth. Teeth whitening offers a safe, effective route to a brighter smile and the confidence to share that smile with the world.
Our Teeth Whitening Outshines Over-the-Counter Whitening Products
Many patients ask if it is easier or cheaper to use over-the-counter whitening products, like whitening toothpastes. The truth is that many of these products have a weak bleaching solution that often takes weeks or even months to create results, if you even see results at all. These treatments also aren't customized to your mouth, which can mean uneven bleaching and irritated gums.
While whitening toothpastes and strips may eventually whiten some stains, professional treatment is much more effective. It's also safer: professional whitening is adjusted to minimize any risks. Our customized treatments will use a whitening gel concentration tailored to your needs and ensure it touches only your teeth, minimizing potential tooth sensitivity and gum irritation.
Care on Your Schedule We Offer Both In-Office and At-Home Options
Our Round Rock practice offers both in-office whitening and at-home whitening products using Opalescence systems.
Both our in-office and at-home treatments use a powerful yet safe bleaching solution. Both provide fast results, though in-office treatment can yield results in as little as an hour, whereas at-home whitening may take a few treatments. Regardless of which treatment you and your dentist decide on, both have been proven to yield much more reliable results than over-the-counter whitening products.
Teeth Whitening and Sensitive Teeth
Your dentist can adjust the bleaching solution and will monitor you throughout treatment to reduce any risks of discomfort or increased sensitivity. Be sure to discuss this with your dentist during your initial consultation.
Our practice uses Opalescence teeth whitening systems, which uses whitening gels containing potassium nitrate and fluoride. By using this combination instead of hydrogen peroxide whitening solutions, we can provide better patient comfort and further reduce tooth sensitivity during treatment.
Candidacy For Teeth Whitening
You may be a good candidate for teeth whitening if:
You have surface stains or discoloration
Teeth whitening works best for extrinsic stains, such as those from food and drinks. Teeth whitening is often not enough to remove deep or intrinsic discoloration.
You are in good oral health
You must also be free of oral health concerns like tooth decay or gum disease before cosmetic treatments.
Will Insurance Cover Teeth Whitening?
/
No. Teeth whitening is considered a cosmetic procedure and is not covered under dental insurance. However, we do not want financial barriers to prevent patients from achieving the smiles of their dreams. Our dental office in Round Rock, TX, accepts CareCredit®. This allows patients to finance the cost of treatment in affordable monthly payments.
What to Expect During In-Office Teeth Whitening
In-office teeth whitening can dramatically whiten your teeth in as little as one appointment.
"This place is great..." 5-Star Reviews
I've been going to Dr Ace for about 3 years now. I am a transplant to the area so Dr Ace and team picked me up with somebody else having done the work. I wish I had lived in Austin years ago and known about Dr Ace. This place is great, and I've recommended them personally so thought I'd recommend them on here also.
View on GoogleAbsolutely the best dental experience I have ever had. Dr Ace did an almost full lower implant and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Worth every penney!
